PartyBeacon helps you coordinate small group activities ("beacons") with friends. We collect only what we need to run the app, never share your data with advertisers, and don't track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

  • Account info - your email, username, and display name when you sign up.
  • Avatar - the pixel-art character you build, stored as a JSON layer config.
  • Beacons & memberships - beacons you create, join, waitlist, or mark interest in.
  • Friend connections - friend requests and accepted friendships you initiate.
  • Comments and messages - content you post on a beacon's discussion or members tab.
  • Push device tokens - when you grant push permission, we store a device-specific push token so we can send notifications about your beacons.

What we don't do

  • We don't track you across other apps or websites.
  • We don't sell or rent your data.
  • We don't share data with advertising networks.
  • We don't use your location unless you explicitly attach a venue to a beacon.

Notifications

Push notifications are sent through Apple Push Notification service (APNs) on iOS and through Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM, operated by Google) on Android. FCM receives a device-specific push token, which we use solely to deliver notifications for beacon activity you've signed up for. You can revoke the token at any time by signing out or denying notification permission in system settings.

Age

PartyBeacon is intended for users aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at apps@adam-goodman.com and we'll delete it.

Your data, your choice

You can delete your account from Menu → Settings, which permanently removes your profile, beacons you created, your memberships, and your push tokens. You can also email us to request a copy or deletion.
